At IGFG, we are completely dependent on the hands and hearts of our community. Our main production site near Madrid, Iowa, isn't a traditional garden—it is a high-yield vegetable farm designed to feed thousands. Because of our scale, there is a constant "countdown clock" for every crop, and we need your help to meet it.
The Flexibility of Service
We believe that service should fit your life. Unlike many organizations, we don't have rigid "shifts." Instead, we empower you to schedule a time that works for you.

When: Monday – Saturday (Day or Evening) | Sunday (Afternoon & Evening)

Requirement: We simply ask that you schedule in advance so a member of our team can be on-site to facilitate your work and provide any necessary training.

Commitment: Come as often as you like! Whether it is a single afternoon or a weekly ritual, every hour you give directly translates into pounds of fresh produce for Iowans.

A Note on Response Time: We are often in the fields and away from the desk! If you don't hear back immediately, know that we value your interest and will get back to you as soon as the sun goes down or the harvest is crated.
