Directions to Madrid Farm
The garden address is 2191 340th St., Madrid, Iowa.
Located Between Ames and Des Moines
It is roughly 16 miles north of the west side of Des Moines.

We are on the Boone/Polk county line which means the same gravel road we live on is labeled both 340th St. and NW 166th St. depending on which sign you look at.
From the West Side of Des Moines
Take Hwy 141 north off of I-35/80 at exit 127.
Go north about 8 miles and exit onto Hwy 17 and go north.
Go north on Hwy 17 for 9 miles into Madrid to Hwy 210 east (by the Casey’s).
Go east (right) on Hwy 210 for about 3.5 miles to Violet Ave.
Turn right (south) onto Violet for 1 mile to the “T” and go left on 340th St.
The first house on the left is the Blackmer house which is a gray ranch. Pull into the main driveway.
From the East Side of Des Moines
From I-35 North, take exit 102 which is Hwy 210.
Go left (west), passing through Slater, for about 9 miles to X Ave. (the first gravel after Syngenta).
Turn left (south) for one mile to 340th St.
Turn right on 340th St. and go about a mile and half.
The Blackmer house is a gray ranch on the right side of the road.
From Ames
From the west side of Ames take South Dakota south (aka county road R 38).
From the intersection of Hwy 30 and South Dakota (also called R 38) continue south about 9 miles to a 4-way stop in Slater with a flashing red light.
Turn right (west) onto Hwy 210 at this light and drive approx. 2 miles to X Avenue (first gravel after Syngenta).
Turn left (south) for one mile to 340th St.
Turn right on 340th St. and go about a mile and half.
The Blackmer house is a gray ranch on the right side of the road.
